John Myles (Senior Pastor)
John was born and raised in Kenova, West Virginia and became a believer in 1995. He earned a double B.A. in Theology and Jewish Studies from Moody Bible Institute, as well as Master of Biblical Studies (MBS) from Chafer Theological Seminary. He also attended Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Israel) in 2005-06, studying Hebrew language. It was during his time at MBI that he met his wife, Valerie, and the two of them were married in 2007. They are parents to three wonderful daughters that love the Lord.
Stephen "Buck" Herhei
Buck has been a believer for twenty-four years, and has been an elder at Fellowship Chapel since 2015. He has been married to his wife, Christine, since 1991 and they are both involved in various areas of service at the Chapel. When asked why he wanted to be a ministry leader at the Chapel, Buck's response was "Service to God....born to serve."
Jason Eyler
Jason has been an elder at the Chapel since 2019, and has been a believer for twenty-eight years. Jason and his wife, Melissa, have been married since 1999, and are the parents of two young adults that love the Lord. When asked why Jason wanted to serve at the Chapel, his response was "I have a love for the people of FC and I desire to see them grow in their relationship with Christ, remaining centered on the Word of God."
Church Deacons
Indeed those having served well as deacons acquire a good standing for
themselves, and a great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus - I Timothy 3:13
Mike Dorn
Mike has served in multiple terms as a deacon at the Chapel, beginning in 2012. He came to faith in 1998, and has been married to his bride, Missy, since 1988. Mike is a long-term native of Jarrettsville, father of two, a grandfather of one, and is involved with AWANA and kids' ministries here at FC. When ask why he desired to serve in a servant-leader role with the diaconate, Mike answered "God seem to have imbued me with a servant's heart from an early age, and I feel it is important for men of God to not shrink from their biblical responsibility to step up and lead."
Jim Braun
Jim first heard the message of salvation, and the good news of the atoning work of Jesus Christ and His resurrection, in 1969. He has been married to his wife, Linda, since 1978. Jim has been on the FC diaconate since 2020, and has a heart to minister to the community of fellow saints, leading others to serve alongside him, as well as having home Bible study groups and fellowship. When asked why he wanted to lead with the FC deacons, Jim said "I have had a desire to help others, especially when they might be hurting or in need...This is something I believe God has given me a desire to do whether I have the office of deacon or not. "
Brandon Landerkin
Brandon has been a believer since 2003 and a deacon at the Chapel since 2024. He is a father to two young ladies, and is heavily involved in service to the community at the Chapel, leading several service projects in service to fellow saints in the Jarrettsville area. When asked why he wants to serve as a deacon at FC, his response was "I want to serve God in whatever capacity that I can, and I feel blessed to be able to serve Him and the church as a deacon."
Mike Sutphin
Mike has been a believer since 1994 and has been a deacon at the Chapel since 2023. Mike is also vocationally serving with FC, leading our youth ministry and music while attending Chafer Theological Seminary. When asked why Mike wanted to serve in leadership at FC, he stated "Serving out of gratitude for what Christ has done for me!"
Eric Maltez
Eric has been a deacon at Fellowship Chapel since 2024. He has been a believer since 1995 and married to his wife, Maria, since 2006. Eric and Maria are parents to five children and participate in children's ministries and family ministries here at the Chapel. "God changed my father and made him a better man. I saw his life change and wanted to be a better man myself and turned to Christ. I wanted to be obedient to the call of my Lord and serve as a deacon at the Chapel."
